Two jailed for Sutton Bridge cannabis farm

Two men have been jailed for 14 months for having a cannabis farm in Sutton Bridge.

There were 423 cannabis plants discovered at the premises in Allenbys Chase after a police search on February 21.

Yesterday (Monday March 25), Halil Gopani, 34, of no fixed address and Denis Xibraku, 24, of Stubbs Drive in London both appeared in pleaded guilty to the production of a class B drug at Lincoln Corn Court.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “They were arrested after officers gathered intelligence indicating criminal activity was taking place at a premises in the village on Allenbys Chase.

“A warrant was secured, and officers from our Neighbourhood Policing Team searched the property finding some 423 cannabis plants.

“A scene guard was erected while experts dismantled the cannabis plants and  further evidence was gathered to secure a conviction.”
