Tulips held while Tigers score nine

Holbeach United earned a resounding 9-0 win while Spalding United claimed another point as caretaker boss Lewis Thorogood continues his unbeaten record in charge

The Tulips took the lead in the first half of the BetVictor Northern Premier League South East Division thanks to a Joel Brownhill penalty.

However two goals in three minutes around the hour mark briefly turned the game in Sutton’s favour.

Spalding responded within a minute thanks to skipper Lewis Brownhill.

And 2-2 was how the game finished, despite the visitors having a player sent off in the last minute.

Holbeach United thrashed Uhlsport United Counties League Premier Divison’s basement side Sleaford Town 9-0 with Jonny Lockie scoring a hat-trick

Josh Ford, two from Lockie, and Jon Fairweather gave Holbeach a 4-0 lead at the break.

Lockie completed his hat-trick after a Sleaford own goal before Josh Ford, Jamie Jackson and Michael Frew completed the resounding win.

Pinchbeck United’s scheduled trip to Wellingborough Town was rained off.

It’s Pinchbeck at home to Holbeach United in the UCL on Friday, December 27 (7.45pm).
