Peter Bore has become Spalding United’s ninth signing currently on contract.
Manager Pat Rayment is purring after adding yet another quality cog to the Tulips’ machine.
Bore, who was at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field on loan briefly last season, has been brought in after news that James Cullingworth will miss all of pre-season and some of the Evo-Stik League campaign recovering from an ankle problem.
Bore (pictured), a right-sided 26-year-old, has played 185 league matches and is equally at home at centre-half, right-back or midfield.
His longest spell was with Grimsby Town, making 153 appearances and scoring 15 goals during five years.
Rayment said: “He found it a bit of a culture shock playing for us at Step Five last season and joined up with Gary Setchell at King’s Lynn, but I’m really happy he’s signed for us.
“I’m determined to establish this team in Step Three and Peter is another player who will have no problem at that level.”
Bore joins Andrew Tidswell, Mark Jones, Nathan Stainsfield, Chris Hall, Michael Leary, Kern Miller, Julian Kelly and Lewis Webb on contracts.
