Tulip Radio celebrates £1,000 boost

Staff at Spalding’s Tulip Radio are celebrating after winning £1,000 in Ringrose Law’s A Grand Idea competition.

Business Manager Jan Whitbourn said: “This was fantastic news for Tulip Radio because as a community radio station we are reliant on receiving money from businesses such as this to keep us sustainable.

“This will go towards the running of the station and keeping us sustainable, including supporting the employment of two apprentices who work hard and help with the routine administration and the basic upkeep of the building.

It also allows us to support local events at a lower cost than it would otherwise be.

“I would like to thank Ringrose Law for putting on the event and for their generosity and, of course, a big thank you must go to all the wonderful, amazing people in South Holland and beyond who very kindly voted for us.”
