Trio enjoy county cup progress

It was three out of three for local teams in the third round of the Lincolnshire County FA Junior Cup on Saturday.

They all won to earn their places in the last 16, scoring an impressive aggregate of 13 goals on the way.
Crowland Town led the way with a 6-1 success at East Lincolnshire Combination side North Somercoates United.
Archie Rickards helped himself to a brace with the other goals being scored by Ethan Allen, Adam Blackbird, Harry Grigas and Harry Tidswell.
Reigning Peterborough League champions and 2023 cup winners Moulton Harrox were 4-1 victors against Wyberton’s A team.
Gary Chappell’s first-half strike saw the teams turn round all square but Moulton pulled away from the Boston League team after the break with goals from Declan Earth, Nathan Smith and an own goal from Louis Gosling.
Also through are Tydd, who saw off the challenge of Lincolnshire Leaguers Louth Town Reserves 3-1, despite playing the last 35 minutes with only ten men. Their scorers were Jordi Henson, Daniel Cassidy and Brandon Harker.
The fourth round draw was due to take place last night (Wednesday).
Holbeach United Reserves ended a run of six consecutive defeats, albeit by default because their scheduled Peterborough Senior Cup opponents Wittering Premiair have withdrawn.
