Tractor challenge buys teenager an amplifier

A teenager is on song after selling a tractor he rebuilt from scratch to buy equipment to support his budding musical talents.
Henry Birkett, whose parents own Rabtrak Ltd, a Spalding company selling inexpensive tractors and implements, was given a tractor which had been left rotting in a Cornish field for six years and within just two weeks had completely rebuilt it, including fixing its engine, exhaust, cooling system, fuel tank, starter, hydraulics and priming and painting it ready to sell on.
At the end of the fortnight Henry sold the tractor for £3,200 – enough to buy himself a new Z-wreck amplifier which he wanted for his country music performances, including Pinchbeck Carnival last weekend.
