Town make it two league wins in a row

Spalding Town Cricket Club made it two wins in a row in the Lincolnshire Premier League.
A fine 58 not out from Ethan Lawrence saw Spalding to a five wicket win at Bracebridge Heath which moves them up to sixth in the table.
The home side opted to bat on winning the toss but Spalding were soon on top thanks to Nilantha Atapattu.
He ousted four of the top five for single figure scores finishing his 10 overs with 4 for 34.
Atapatu had left the home side 17 for 3 then 37 for 4 but the opener Sam Mason plugged away and was joined by Brett Houston.
The pair put on 76 before Mason (64) was trapped lbw by Mitch Freeman (1 for 37).
Alex Moor (14) stuck around with Houston (61) putting on a further 48 before the latter was one of Brandon Andrews’ 2 for 43.
Bracebridge’s tail helped them finish the 50 overs on 198 for 9.
Spalding were in control of the chase throughout even after opener Jon Manton was out for 10 with the score on 15.
Freeman added 19 in a partnership of 57 with Lawrence who came in at number three and who anchored the innings while Chris and Ollie Dring, both scored 37 to take Town to the brink of victory.
That came with 11 overs to spare and five wickets down, Lawrence’s knock of 58 coming from 103 balls and included eight fours.
Moor was the pick of the Bracebridge bowlers with 2 for 42.
Next up for Spalding is a trip to Nettleham.
