Top talent rocks Pinchbeck charity show

This week might have seen the return of The X Factor, but the true talent was on stage in Pinchbeck for the Uptown’s Got Talent charity concert that raised more than £1,000.

Organiser and Uptown Vinyl Records owner Alan Barnsdale said: “This was the first Uptown’s Got Talent showcase of local talent which proved a great success and the crowd responded by singing along.”

Alan said all 120 tickets sold out almost immediately from the shop in Pinchbeck.

“All proceeds went to Macmillan Cancer Support and along with the raffle we raised £1,125.

“All the performers gave their time free of charge and Alan and Larraine Hansard ran the sound and lights.”

Performing acts included Dodge Rogers, Oldboy (of the Fens), Ben Coaton, Jeff Woods and rock-and-roller Pagan Gould.

Alan also thanked owners of new local internet radio station Sound of Spitfire for their support.
