Top six finish in opening British F4 race at Knockhill is Pulling’s main highlight

It was something of a mixed weekend for Abbi Pulling at the latest round of the F4 British Championship at Knockhill.

The JHR Developments racer, who is from Gosberton, qualified in seventh place for race one at the Scottish circuit.

She improved on that to secure a strong sixth place in a race she described as “a tough, long tussle” on her official Facebook page – but also declared herself “happy with the result”.

With a semi-reverse grid utilised for race two, Pulling was promoted to pole position and was hoping to bag a big points haul.

However, disaster struck as Arden’s Roman Bilinski made contact with her under braking for Duffus Dip.

A safety car was required to recover Pulling’s stricken car from the gravel, with her race well and truly over.

Race three offered more disappointment for the South Holland speedster, who was a non-finisher again due to a mechanical problem.

The next round is at speedy Thruxton on September 19.
