Top kickboxing talent Jack bags a European gold medal

Spalding Academy pupil Jack Spillett is celebrating after winning a gold medal at the WMO European kickboxing competition in Rugby.

Young talent Spillett, who is 11, won the gold medal in the under 35kg boys’ continuous category and added a bronze in the under 40kg category.

This impressive showing means that he has now qualified for the World competition in November.

Spillett has only been kickboxing for two years and trains with PMAS Kickboxing in Spalding and Kirton, as well as training every day at home.

His parents Laura and Darren Spillett said: “We are extremely proud of Jack, as he has been dedicated to his training plan which his coaches Paul Manning and Rhoda Irving have put in place.”
