Time for some funny business

Jasper-Carrot-1

Comedian Jimmy Carr brings his latest stand-up show to Peterborough next week.

There’s still time to get your hands on a ticket or two but you’ll need to get a move on as they are selling out quickly.

The Eight Out of Ten Cats frontman will be entertaining the audience with his Funny Business show at Peterborough’s Cresset theatre on September 2.

Jimmy has been described as “the hardest working man in comedy”.

Funny Business is Jimmy’s brand new stand up show.

Multiple choice.

Jimmy Carr’s Funny Business will be:

a) Packed with jokes

b) Rude and offensive

c) A great night out

d) £25 a ticket

If you answered a) b) c) or d) you were right!

Please note that the show is not suitable for children aged under 16.

Tickets cost £26.50 (including booking fee) and are available from the box office on 01733 265705.

Alternatively book online at www.cresset.co.uk, where you can choose which seats you would prefer.

If you’re more a fan of traditional comedy, Jasper Carrott’s Stand and Rock could be just the night out you’re looking for.

Also at the Cresset on September 10, the show combines comedy with 70s music.

Stand Up and Rock does what it says on the tin.

Jasper is back to his very best – mic in hand regaling the audience with his “new” stand up routines before introducing his musical compatriots that have been ‘rockin’ audiences all over the world.

Jasper is joined by mate Bev Bevan, who, has rock star credentials that most dream of, Trevor Burton of The Move – the first band played on Radio 1, Geoff Turton, lead singer of The Rocking Berries and. Joy Strachan-Brain, the lead singer of one of the UK’s finest Celtic rock bands, Quill.

Tickets for the show are £26.50, available from the box office on 01733 265705 or online at www.cresset.co.uk
