The Dewhursts Trophies Pinchbeck & District Summer League is heading towards its conclusion and teams in all three divisions are pushing for strong finishes.
With the top two sides not in action, attention turned to the bottom end of Division A. Kirton Leisure claimed a 15-12 win over Green Dragon A. Scott Williams produced a superb 3-0 singles victory, hitting a 180 and recording legs of 15 and 18 darts, along with eight scores of 100-plus. Kiaran Grove also struck a 180 for the Dragon, while Callum Templeman added a 101 checkout. Jamie Robson impressed for Leisure with a 14-dart leg in his 3-0 win, which also included eight scores of 100-plus. Nathan Hill sealed overall victory by beating Jon Goor 2-1 in the final game.
Consti Club C earned a 15-12 home win against Pinchbeck FC B. Trailing 5-4 after the pairs, 3-0 wins for Jordan Philpott and Josh Faulkner turned the match around, with Philpott hitting a 180. Paul Faulkner also hit a 180 for the Consti but lost 2-1 to Tom Elderkin, who produced a 15-dart leg. Connor Mackenzie hit a 180 for the football club in his pairs game with Mark Dixon, the pair also landing an 18-dart leg.
At Services Club B, Tigers Club edged a tight contest 14-13. Leading 5-4 after the pairs, further wins for William Cliff and Ash Allen extended their advantage. Tony Clark and Dave Norbury both won 2-1 and Steve Rawding added a 3-0 win to level the match at 12-12. In the decisive final singles, with the score at 1-1, Claire Brookin held her nerve to defeat Ady Smith and secure the win for the visitors.
Division B leaders Lincoln Arms D continued their strong form with a 15-12 win at Consti Club Z, where Mick Atkin produced a 132 finish for the home side.
Second-placed Green Dragon Z slipped up, losing 18-9 at Consti Club B. Shane Jones hit two 180s and Callum Day added another for the Dragon.
Pinchbeck FC A stayed in the hunt for a top-two finish with a 16-11 home win over Consti Club D. Nick Collins, John Robinson and Tommy Lee won the final three singles 2-1 for Consti but were unable to overturn the deficit.
Drayman’s Arms B and Q met on consecutive days, with the B side winning both encounters. They took the first match 15-12 and followed it with a narrow 14-13 victory. Jason Chilvers hit two 180s for the Q team, while Connor Newton hit a 180 and produced a 125 finish for the B side.
Division C leaders Pinchbeck FC C extended their advantage with a
17-10 home win over Consti Club A. Leading 15-3, Malc Mumby and Kev Bailey both won 3-0 for the Consti to reduce the margin before Kenzie Foster took the final game 2-1 for the football club.
Second-placed Services Club A claimed a tight
14-13 win at Drayman’s Arms A. Tony O’Driscoll, Steve Booden and Acker Kelk all won 2-1 to secure overall victory before Jack Lawson won the final singles 3-0 for Drayman’s.
