Time for council to rebuild

Holbeach Parish Council has new leadership after a meeting last week.
Adrian Haslett has taken the role of chairman and is hoping for a period of stability within the council which has seen recent resignations.
“I extend my sincere thanks to my fellow councillors for their trust and support.
“I also warmly welcome Coun Paul Foyster as deputy and I look forward to working closely with him and the entire council as we begin this new chapter together,” he said.
“This is a time to rebuild public confidence in our work – not through words alone, but through consistent, visible progress,” he added.
“We will strengthen our governance, improve our responsiveness and ensure that every decision reflects our shared commitment to Holbeach’s wellbeing.
“I invite all councillors to join me in fostering a culture of mutual respect, accountability and optimism. Together, we can make Holbeach Parish Council a source of pride for our community, Let’s begin this new chapter with purpose and unity.”
The council has been through a period of turmoil with the resignation of two members shortly after both the chair, Sandra Ball and her deputy Sue McKendry stood down.
