Tight at the top as Newton takes another Holbeach and District Angling Club win

Holbeach and District Angling Club’s latest match was held at Cement Bridge on Sunday – and, not for the first time this season, it was Chris Newton who was on winning form.

Newton’s net of 5lb was enough to deny his rivals top spot as he continued his fine recent form.

Narrowly behind in second was none other than his uncle, Mark Chapman, with a net of 4lb 14oz.

Hot on his heels in third place was Jason Thrower with a total catch of 4lb 9oz, meaning there was very little between the leading trio.
