Tigers stretch unbeaten run

Holbeach United continued where they left off in Division One North of the Eastern Counties League after two weeks sidelined by waterlogged pitches.

A 1-1 draw at newcomers Halesworth Town was the Tigers’ third in a row, stretching their unbeaten run to five games.

Holbeach took the lead after 49 minutes when Callum Wright marked his return to the club by firing home past the goalkeeper at his near post.

The hosts equalised after 79 minutes from the penalty spot after a handball by Harry West. The Tigers had been reduced to 10 men two minutes earlier when Oli Williams received a second yellow card.

Tigers: Sellars, Kacirek, Roberts, Oldham, West, Nicholson, Shenille, Carter, Wright, O Williams, J Williams. Subs: Hyde, Bodibe, Hamilton, Greenfield.
Attendance: 106.
