Tigers let chances slip

Holbeach United’s four-match mini-revival ground to a halt in Suffolk on Saturday.

The young Thurlow Nunn League team were beaten 3-0 by promotion-chasing Framlingham Town.

Missed chances proved costly for the Tigers, who had chances to open the scoring and also to pull themselves back after falling behind.

Holbeach face another tough test on Saturday when they welcome runaway Division One North leaders Holland to Carter’s Park. The Essex side have won 10 and drawn one of their 11 games so far.

Tigers: Sellars, Roberts, Stephens, O Williams (Garner), Goult (West), Oldham, Kacirek, Coehlo, Hamilton (Hyde), J Williams (Greenfield), Shenille (Szablowski).
Attendance: 107.
