Tigers in trouble at foot of table

Holbeach United Reserves fell deeper into trouble at the foot of the Premier Division of the GCE Hire Fleet Peterborough League.
They slipped to a 3-1 defeat at closest rivals Chatteris Town to be cast seven points adrift.
It was a similar situation in Division One, where Long Sutton Athletic lost 5-3 at Whittlesey Athletic Development to swap places at the bottom of the table. Substitute Thierry Williams scored twice to add to a goal from Jack Baker.
Jordan Kirchin’s hat-trick enabled Crowland Town Reserves to come out 3-2 winners in their Division Two promotion battle with Bourne Town Reserves.
That scoreline was repeated for Pinchbeck-based Peterborough Polonia, against Hampton Reserves, and Tydd, at Stamford Belvedere Reserves, where Kai Scott-Henson got a brace.
Sutton Bridge United went down 5-4 at home to Stamford Lions, despite Alex Clements-Limb’s treble.
The eagerly anticipated Senior Cup quarter-final tie between Moulton Harrox and Crowland was postponed due to an unplayable pitch.
There was better news for Crowland the following day when their Sunday side won 3-1 at Welton in the Lincolnshire County FA Sunday Cup.
The draw for the last 16 of the Lincolnshire County FA Junior Cup has paired neighbours Moulton Harrox with Tydd, while Crowland travel to Spilsby Town in the fourth-round ties scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 1.30pm.
