Tigers and Knights games rained off

The wet weather put paid to the vast majority of the sports fixtures last weekend, including the senior football clubs’ games.
In the United Counties League, Premier Division North Pinchbeck United were due at Heanor Town but it was among the many rained off.
They’re due to back in action on Saturday in the league when Skegness Town are the visitors to the Sir Halley Stewart in a 3pm kick off.
The Knights remain bottom of the league, have lost their last seven in all competitions, and their only win in the league so far came back on September 2.
Lewis Thorogood’s side will look to get back to winning ways once again against play-off chasing Skegness who won the reverse fixture 3-0 in August.
Another team chasing the play-offs are Holbeach United in the Thurlow Nunn League Division One North.
The Tigers were due to host Great Yarmouth Town on Saturday before the rain forced the abandonment.
This Saturday they take on Leiston U23s a team who are third from bottom in the division, as the busy Christmas period gets under way.
It’s currently the half way stage in the division.
Holbeach sit in sixth position just a point off the play off places and also only eight points back from league leaders Stanway Pegasus having played a game more.
