Three charged with assaulting police officers after incidents in Spalding and Holbeach

Spalding Police have charged three people after officers were injured in separate incidents over the weekend. One officer was injured twice, including a bite.

On Friday night, officers responded to a disturbance in Hallgate, Holbeach.

An officer sustained some minor scratches. Carl Stewart Peacock (44), of Hallgate, was arrested for affray and assaulting a police officer.  He was charged with assaulting a constable and obstructing an officer and bailed to court.

Later the same night officers were called to a disturbance in Alexandra Road, Spalding.

An officer received scratches and bites. Kayleigh Anne Hare (24), of London Road, Spalding, was arrested for assaulting a police officer and for causing criminal damage.  She has been charged and bailed to court.

An 18-year-old man was also arrested for a public order offence and later received a fixed penalty notice.

On Saturday night officers were called to an incident in Holyrood Walk, Spalding.

The same officer who had been assaulted in Holbeach on Friday night sustained bite injuries and a cut to an eye.

A second officer also received bite injuries.

Joe Cooper (24), of Holyrood Walk, was arrested and later charged with two assaults on the officers.  Emma Arnold (32), of Holyrood Walk, was also arrested for obstructing a police officer.  She has been charged and bailed to court.
