The sun shines on four-day festival

The first ever four-day Holbeach Music and Beer Festival proved to be a huge hit.

Thousands flocked to the site to see acts including headline slots from tribute acts Guns 2 Roses (Guns ‘n’ Roses) and Young Elton (Elton John).
Friday night saw a set of Ultra 90s v 2000s featuring Kelly Llorenna, while the first Thursday included a new comedy club plus music from indie and Britpop tribute band The Stereotypes.
Organiser Sean Taylor said: “We had a great time and the feedback we’ve had is that this year’s was the best one ever.
“After a difficult year last time with the rain it was about recovering and getting it back on track.
“We had a really good turn out and people loved the family-friendly festival atmosphere.
“It was the first ever four-day event which went down really well and I think we’ve got a lot of new friends.”
When asked what his highlight was, Sean said: “I think the quality of the acts blew everyone away.
“It wasn’t just their talent but the shows they put on including production and the sound.
“We had so many great moments including one drummer proposing to his now fiancée.
“It all finished off brilliantly with the Elton John tribute who was fantastic.
“He really got into character.
“Huge thanks to all the volunteers, acts, sponsors and everyone who attended and ensured it was such a great event.”
