The Rockits to land in Spalding on Saturday

A resident band from the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool will be the headline act for a charity event in Spalding on Saturday (March 7).

The Rockits – a 50s and 60s tribute band – will be playing at The Castle Sports Complex in support of Central German Shepherd Rescue.

A spokesman for the band said: “We are all looking forward to coming to Spalding to give the town a touch of Liverpool magic. With a set list that includes tracks from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Elvis, Spencer Davis and The Kinks, hopefully Spalding will be entertained.”
Leo Promotions is providing a disco for the function (7.30pm start).

Tickets are £10 and can be bought from Highfield Kennels on 01775 761313 or The South Hollancd Centre box office on 01775 764777 (booking fee applies).

Central German Shepherd Rescue began in September last year and is based in Quadring.
The centre has already provided adoptive homes for several German Shepherds and four Border Collie pups.
It is constantly fundraising to provide care for German Shepherds, both in emergency boarding kennels and foster homes locally.
The four trustees – Marlene Aspden, Bev Chamberlain, Diane White and Kym France – are currently working towards charity registration status.
