The Kitchen at Springfields to close this Saturday

Springfields based eatery The Kitchen is to close its doors on Saturday (September 6).

The independent family run bar and restaurant is closing for good with all staff having been told they were made redundant last Monday, The Voice understands

There’s no mention of the closure on The Kitchen’s website or social media but a manager who did not want to give their name confirmed that Saturday would be the last day.

“It’s down to rising costs,” they said. “Everything is going up, the government is putting up National Insurance and because of other food related businesses nearby and there’s only so many customers to go round.”
