The fourth is with Pinchbeck again as they finish season with a flourish

Pinchbeck signed off for the 2015 season with a four-wicket victory and maximum points over Graves Park at Spalding Grammar School.

The win completes another very satisfying season for the village side, who have secured fourth position in SLBL Division Two for the second year running.

After putting the visitors into bat, Pinchbeck were very much on the back foot in the early exchanges – but they eventually bowled Park out for 150.

The highlights saw James Langford (3-46) claim two wickets in two balls before Nick Crook mopped up the tail in quick time by picking up five wickets for just two runs in a breezy four-over spell.

That included the prized wicket of John Morris for an excellent 72 (11 fours and a six).

Despite losing an early wicket, Crook and Lee Smith set the team well on the way to victory with a superb stand of 112 for the second wicket. Smith racked up 14 fours and a six on the way to a brilliant unbeaten 84, while Crook (52) steadily accumulated runs from the other end.

They made a little bit of a mess of it at the end, but Pinchbeck reached 151-6 in the 35th over.
