The dual benefits of joining Spalding’s Fifty Plus Badminton Club

The dual benefits of exercise and meeting new friends are being promoted by Spalding’s Fifty Plus Badminton Club.

The club has about 40 members and holds sessions in the Castle Sports Complex for two hours on Tuesday afternoons and three hours on Friday mornings.

Club chairman Wally Wells said: “In any doctor’s waiting room you will find a notice encouraging people to take regular exercise to raise the heart rate a bit.
“The game of badminton is particularly suitable for this at any age, including those in or approaching retirement years.”

Playing fees, in addition to Castle membership, are low. For more information, call Wally on 01775 712194.
