Thanking the area’s nurses

Nurses have been given special treats to mark National Nursing Day.

Mark Le Sage and members of the South Lincolnshire branch of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) went around the area with gift bags on Thursday, May 12.

The day marks the birthday of Dame Sarah Swifts who founded the RCN.

Mark, pictured left with Sam Showler of Deepings Health Centre, said: “It was a small thank you to all the dedicated professionals who daily give more than they ever receive.

“They’re the ones who make a difference to the lives of so many.

“They are real life super heroes.”

* Due to his work with The Butler Trust and the RCN Mark was also invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace recently where he took his mum Christine Le Sage.
