Teen arrested at town school

A 15-year-old has been arrested after a member of staff at a Holbeach school was assaulted.

At 8.50am on Monday (February 19), police were called to secondary school, University Academy Holbeach.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “We responded to a call from this school in Holbeach, to a report that a member of staff had been assaulted by a 15-year-old who wasn’t a pupil at the school.

“The 15-year-old has since been arrested under suspicion of committing common assault.”

On Tuesday, Lincolnshire Police issued an updated saying a 15-year-old had been released under investigation.

It is not known whether the member of staff involved was injured.
