Team walk for charity

Team members from Greencore’s salads sites in Spalding joined colleagues from Boston to support charity.

They all took part in the national Dawn Walk for Samaritans which was held at sunrise on Sunday, September 18.

Two Greencore teams set off on a 10km walk from the Wardentree Lane site in Spalding and Elsea Park in Bourne. So far the walkers have raised £425 for the charity that supports people with mental health issues.

The Spalding site also hosted a series of Great Food events, with the support of other local businesses, to thank colleagues for their hard work.

“It is important for us at Greencore to work closely with our local community, both in supporting the needs of people and in helping to support other local businesses.

“I am proud of our colleagues who have committed to supporting charity work and volunteering. It is also important for us to recognise and thank our people for the work they have done in helping feed the nations.”
