Tea-mendous amount for charity

An afternoon tea in Spalding raised a fantastic £1,551 for Breast Cancer UK.

Judy Dolton put on the event last month at Spalding Outdoor Bowls Club and recently presented the cheque.

She runs a regular coffee morning but wanted to do something extra for charity.

Both the public and businesses rallied around with 80 raffle prizes having been donated.

Tina Ellis, the community champion at Morrison’s locally, also helped out.

“I would like to thank all the people who helped in so many ways to make this a success event,” said Judy.

“Without them all this would not have been possible.

“I also can’t forget the so many people that came to support this great event including those from the coffee morning group who helped me volunteer on the day.”
