Tasty food and drink event in Spalding this weekend

The Spalding Festival of Food and Drink is ready to welcome visitors this weekend (August 29 and 30).

Spalding and District Area Chamber of Commerce is keen to promote the “culinary delights” of the district and is staging the festival weekend on Saturday and Sundayat South Holland District Council offices in Priory Road, Spalding.

Trade exhibitors will be showcasing their goods, with visitors able to taste and buy a wide range of food and drink products.
Celebrity Lincolnshire chef Rachel Green will be there on both days.

Meanwhile, town businesses are offering special deals to tie in with the festival. The Cley Hall Hotel, The Pantry and The Parlour and 1498 Spice Affair are all running promotions.

Tickets cost £3 and can be bought in advance at the South Holland Centre or online at www.spaldingfoodfestival.co.uk, where there is more details.

Raffle tickets will be sold at the event to win a Hyundai i10 car worth £8,705. It has been supplied by EMG Motor Group in Spalding and proceeds from the £2 tickets will go towards The League of Friends of Spalding Hospitals. Tickets will continue to be sold until the draw on November 14.
