‘Talk to the police’ roadshows start in Spalding

Everyone will have their chance to raise issues with the police at a series of public engagement events.

The events, which have been highly popular in the past have given hundreds of people the opportunity to talk to officers and for officers to listen to the public.

In many respects they formalise what officers and PCSOs do every day – but these extra days provide opportunities for more in-depth chats and interactions.
They also offer the chance for people to meet and find out about officers with more specialist roles who they would not normally meet.

The content and structure of each event will vary depending on availability of local officers, but most will feature a dog van, Roads Policing Unit vehicles (and officers including the county’s stars of the Police Interceptors TV series ) and opportunities to speak to senior officers and the Police and Crime Commissioner.

The roadshow will come to Spalding Market Place next Tuesday (August 19) from 10am to 3.30pm.
