A project to bring young and old together Is stepping up to make a difference in South Holland.
Echoes Intergenerational Project is run by Adults Move Lincolnshire and Diamondz Dance.
It sees the young people from the local dance group performing for residents with assisted living.
In the past few months they’ve completed two tours, one of South Holland District Council sheltered accommodation and another in three local care homes.
Bekki Hollywood, of Adults Move Lincolnshire, said: “The project brings older adults and young people together through dance, music and meaningful conversation, helping to reduce social isolation, improve wellbeing, build confidence, and strengthen community connections across the district.
“It was so lovely to see how much energy the children’s presence brought to the residents as they performed.
“It’s been fantastic to see the positive impact Echoes has had on both older adults and young people, creating meaningful connections, breaking down generational barriers, and building confidence and wellbeing through dance and shared experiences.”
