Table tennis round-up: Visitors provide a boost for Spalding and District League

August has seen the Spalding and District Table Tennis League welcome a number of visitors through their doors.

The league was delighted to see a wide range in abilities as well as individuals returning multiple times and watching them develop their skills.

The turnout of league members fluctuated throughout the month, with some weeks significantly better than others.

They are extremely grateful to those members who have assisted with welcoming all the visitors.

This month also saw the league have the honour of hosting an evening for the Spalding Round Table.

This gave some of their members an opportunity to try the sport, whereas for other former league members it was a chance to pick a bat up once again.

League members were on hand to provide pointers, aid with individuals’ techniques and score matches.

With the league now having a temporary break, the committee is looking towards the AGM and presentation evening, which is due to be held on Tuesday, September 10 at 8pm.
