Sutton 2nd continue their run

Long Sutton 2nd XI are continuing their fine form in Division Two as they thrashed Heckinton 2nds by 10 wickets.
Sutton’s bowlers were on top from the start after the visitors opted to bat.
James Baker led the way with 4 for 31 while Steve Norris took 2 for 7, Daniel Plant 1 for 14 from nine overs, Cal John and Steven Milnes both 1 for 15 and Rob Simpson 1 for 21.
Heckington’s total of 115 all out was indebted to a 48 not out from Robert Nunn.
Sutton’s openers took just 13.4 overs to knock that total off, Aaron John (58 not out) and Jamie Taylor (51 not out) both with half centuries.
The victory moved Long Sutton up to second in the table with five ins from their opening six games.
They’re nine points behind leaders Uffington, but having played two games less.
