Surfleet sunshine chases away rain

The storm cleared to brilliant sunshine for the annual Celebrate Surfleet event.

Held at Glen Park, attractions included a bucking bronco, hot air balloons, balloon modelling, bouncy castles, a dog show and a classic car show. Music came from Mullered at the Mill and Meg McPartlin.
Organiser Jill Wright said: “It was a successful day, everyone seemed to enjoy it.
“The dog show had 200 entries and we had two hot air balloons, unfortunately the weather was too unpredictable to fly them.
“Thanks to everyone who attended and to all of our volunteers.”
Proceeds will go to Labradors in Need and Boxer Rescue.
