Superb 68 break puts Thomas at the top of the leader board

A fantastic 68 saw Sutton Bridge’s Thomas Horspool take the accolade for highest snooker break so far on Thursday night.

Horspool (O35) knocked in the break during his win over Jordan Philpott (R7), in the Spalding and District Snooker League, although it wasn’t enough to stop Services C beating Sutton 4-2.
Winners for Services were Craig Fitter (O63), Shane Cummings (O14) and Nigel Cherry (O7), who beat Shane Balding (O49) despite his break of 40.
In fact all matches in Division One ended in a 4-2 result.
League leaders Donington C beat lowly Bourne SC B, while second placed Consti G got the better of Holbeach D, meaning there is still just one point separating them at the top of the table.
Matt Turner (O14), Neil Favell (O7) and Ben Wrigglesworth (O35) got the wins for Donington, while Consti’s winners were Joe Garland (scr), Mark Woodberry (O56) and Ady Sibley (O35).
Third-placed Bourne SC A won their match at home to Consti H, while Consti E, who are fourth, lost to Holbeach E.
Giving Holbeach the win were Ben Harding (O35), Phil Coaten (O14) and Aaron Coe (O7).
Pyramid C beat Boundary A, thanks to wins from Spencer Dawkins (O56), Richard Skellett (O14) and Carl Kelham (R7).
Dawkins knocked in a 46 break in his win over Pete King (R7).
Mike Knight (O21) got a 45 clearance on his way to victory over Paul Ashton (R7), in Services A’s win over Holbeach C.
Other winners were Vince Fitter (O35) and Phil Spencer (O7) for Services, and Terry West (R7) and Nick Edwards (R7) for Holbeach.
In the second division, Pyramid D have extended their lead at the top, thanks to a whitewash of bottom-placed Gosberton D.
The Pyramid team comprising Josh Agger (O14), Marcus Hamilton (O28), James Sharpe (O49), Reegan Cooke-Holmes (O21) and Pete Sharpe-Grose (scr) finished up 6-0 winners away at Gosberton.
Consti B have taken second place after beating Pyramid B 4-2 for the second time this season.
John Christian (R7), Martin Fear (O7) and John Keeton (O7) gave Consti the win, while Gary (scr) and Phil Cooke (R7) got the points for Pyramid.
Pyramid A dropped to third place after going down 4-2 at home to Consti F.
Victor Rouse (R7) and Michael Twell (R7) took the first two frames for Pyramid, before Warren Peel (scr), Martyn (R14) and Justyn Stanley (scr) hit back for Consti to snatch the win.
Holbeach B remain in fourth. They lost 4-2 away to second-from-bottom Donington B.
Pete Burrell (scr), Gav Lewis (O7) and Darren Templeman (scr) got the wins for Donington, while Pete Mullane (O28) and Adi Liquorish (R14) scored for Holbeach.
Gosberton A got the better of Services A, beating them 5-1 away.
Adam Twigg (O14), Andy Adair (R7), Carl Wand (O7) and Jamie Mumby (O14) were Gosberton’s winners, while Alan Hansard (scr) got the solitary point for Services.
Whittlesey C beat Donington A 4-2 away.
Paul Cook (O14) got Whittlesey off to a good start, beating Nigel Brasier (O28), before John George (O7) got a frame back for Donington, beating Garry Thewliss (O7) 52-3.
Neil Burton (O14) took the third frame to put Crowland 2-1 up, before Simon Parker (O7) sealed the win, getting the better of Kevin Hawes (O7).
Jim Thompson (O7) won the final frame on the black ball to give Donington an extra point.
Holbeach A hold onto fifth place following a 5-1 home win over Services D.
It was Sean Swinburn (O56), Steve Dent (scr), Mathew Smith (O35) and Stuart Atkin (O42) with the wins.
Smith made breaks of 41 and 24, while Atkin knocked in a 36 and Swinburn a 34.
In Division Three, a 6-0 won for Consti I has put them within one point of leaders Holbeach F.
Consti beat Whittlesey B at home, thanks to wins from Jonathan Smith (R21), John Bellerby (scr), Stewart Wells (R21), David Twelves (O7) and Pete Stokes (scr).
Holbeach F fell 5-1 to Consti J, who are in fourth place.
David Lefley (R21) took the first frame for Holbeach, including a 22 clearance, before Trev Braybrook (R14), Les Andrew (scr), Nev Vickers (R7) and Stewart Davies (O14) answered back for Consti.
Consti A remain in third after beating Whittlesey A 4-2.
Their winners were Paul Kent (R21), Chris Hall (R21) and Nigel Steadman (R7), who beat Malc Bruce (scr) in the deciding frame.
Lowly Consti D got their fifth win of the season, beating Gosberton B 6-0.
Steve Moore (R14) (twice), John Cooper (R21), Martin Perkins (O21) and Tom Digby (R7) got the wins for Consti.
Donington D remain second-from-bottom after losing 5-1 to Consti C.
Michella George (R28) got Donington off to a good start with a win over John Walker (R28), before Kevin Sweeney (R7) (twice), Mark Craig (R14) and Dave Banister (scr) took the next four frames for Consti.
