Spalding swimming star Chloe Hannam gave a fine account of herself at the British Gas Swimming Championships in Glasgow.
The event, otherwise known as the Commonwealth Trials, saw Hannam compete in four differing events – and she clocked some cracking times.
Her first event was the 400m IM, in which she entered 15th. However, a season’s best time (just 1.5secs off her personal best) secured 11th.
Next up was the 200m backstroke. Hannam entered as 11th fastest and came fourth in the heats to reach the final.
Just 20 minutes later was the 200m IM. Having entered 29th, a tired Hannam still finished 22nd.
Then came the 200m backstroke final. It proved the highlight of the weekend, with Hannam joint fifth in fifth in 2.14.61mins, (0.18secs off PB).
She finished the event with a 17th (entered 31st) in the 400m freestyle.
