Sunday spin raises charity cash

South Holland Cyclists raised hundreds of pounds on a 60-mile ride.

A total of 32 cyclists took part in the Sunday bike ride, organised by Castle Sports Centre operators, 1Life.

The ride started in Spalding at the Castle Sports Complex and rolled through to Deeping and onto Stamford before heading back to the leisure centre for a Sunday roast dinner provided by The Castle Cafe and Bar.

The ride raised £325 for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

Sales manager at 1Life, Josh Wright said: “I just want to say thank you everyone that helped out on the day. You all did a great job in making sure all riders were looked after.”

SIA Produce at Spalding Market donated fruit, Deeping Leisure Centre and Stamford Leisure Pool provided welcome rest stops and Gibbons Cycles and Sports donated parts en route.

Josh added: “Thanks all the riders who made the day a success.”
