Sunday League: Wet weather takes toll on pitches

The weather put paid to all but one Spalding Sunday League match last weekend.

Swineshead Institute Sunday’s pitch was deemed playable and they slammed Mulberry 11-0 in the John Chappell Shield.

In King’s Lynn and District Sunday League, only one game survived in Division Three.
Heacham Reserves well and truly opened the Fleet floodgates, with a 10-0 win.
George Patience and Tim Pepper both scored twice.
James Norris, Tristan Guy, Federico Pezella, Josh Everitt, Barry Chilvers and Kyle Benefer completed the scoring.

Division One side Long Sutton have folded.
