Summer reading challenge

The annual Summer Reading Challenge has launched with a host of events planned at Spalding Library.

Children aged 4-11 can visit the Victoria Street building to meet the Gadgeteers and get involved in a science and innovation themed challenge.

The Summer Reading Challenge events are as follows:

  • Thursday July 28, 10am-3pm – Food and cooking up a storm! Come and make a cake out of Oreo biscuits plus there will be other fun activities to do!
  • Thursday August 4, 10am-3pm – Wind Power! Day. There’ll be crafts to make plus see how far you can fly a paper plane!
  • Thursday August 11, 10am-3pm – Magnet Day. Make a fridge magnet to take home with you!
  • Thursday August 18, 10am-3pm – Fashion Day. A chance to show your design skills plus there’ll also be other fun activities and games.
  • Thursday August 25, 10am-3pm – Robot Day. Come and make your very own robot!
  • Thursday September 1, 10am-3pm – Music Day. Make yourself a musical instrument to annoy your parents with!
