Successive Past Captain’s crowns for David at Spalding Golf Club

David Tasker successfully defended his Past Captain’s crown at Spalding Golf Club on Friday.

A string of former Spalding skippers took on the 13-hole Stableford event at the Surfleet course, with Tasker once again victorious.

Keith Holland claimed second place, with Stuart Asher taking third place.

The day was organised by Past Captain Mike Crampton, with all players enjoying a meal together afterwards.

  • Christine Burton is the Tydd St Giles Golf Club ladies’ Handicap and Scratch Club Championship winner.

She finished with the best gross and best net scores after two rounds after shooting 104+91=195 (gross) and 85+72=157 (net).

Second place went to Jackie Maton with 97+100=197 gross and 80+83=163 net, while Linda Walker was third with 108+100=208 gross and 87+79=166 net.

Ladies’ captain Jackie Maton thanked all for taking part and was pleased to announce that, with the raffle and halfway house, £237.52 was raised for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance.
