Consti D have all but secured the Spalding and District Darts League Division Three title by beating Mail Cart B 6-3.
This means Consti D have to lose and Holbeach Services need to win their games to stand a chance of winning on leg difference.
Consti started well by going 2-1 up in pairs and then four singles win by Jonny Robinson, Lewis Turner, Nick Collins and Ady Smith secured the win. Andy Taylor and Steve Taylor were the sole singles winners for Mail Cart.
Lincoln Arms B continue their fine run to the end of the season with a good 6-3 win over Green Dragon B.
Again, they took advantage early on by going 2-1 up after pairs and then won the first four singles games thanks to Andy Palmer, Lesley Chamberlain, Nigel Goodwin, and Vlad Fomkinas. Winners for Dragon B were Adam Rear and captain Finn Mottram.
In Division One, Tigers C went top of the league by hammering Punchbowl A 8-1.
Punchbowl won the first doubles game but then lost the next eight games without winning a leg. Ant Richardson fired in a 180 and an 18-dart leg.
That now means the Tigers C and Consti A rearranged clash will be the game to decide who wins the league.
Rose and Crown had a fine 6-3 win against Drayman’s A. After going 2-1 up in the pairs Rose and Crown hit early and won the first four singles, thanks to Gary Mace, Dan Carnell, James Truman, and Adam Godfrey. James Truman kept up his fine form and fired in a 180.
Lincoln Arms lost 5-4 to Consti E in the final game of Division Two. They let a lead slip away after going 2-0 up but doubles win and wins by Josh Ford and Calum Ward put Consti E in the driving seat.
Steve Stancer put the Lincoln back in a good position and only needed one win in the final two games. However Jason Chilvers and Mark Dixon, of Consti, had other ideas and secured the win from behind for their team.
On the night Ford fired in a 180 and Luke Rhodes had a fine 126 checkout in an 18-dart leg.
However, player of the night was Steve Stancer who showed why he has played darts for three different counties. He had a 180, a 112 checkout, fine 14 and 16- dart legs in singles and hit an 18-dart leg in pairs with Karl Rolfe.
Mail Cart A kept up their push for runners-up in Division Two thanks to a 6-3 win against Drayman’s B.
Jacob Herd was on fire again, hitting a 180 and an 18-dart leg. Stu Part, of Mail Cart, hit a 110 checkout and Wigs Harrison for the Draymans bettered this with a 126 checkout.
Champions-elect Ye Olde Abbey lost 5-4 to Green Dragon A who are also fighting for runners-up.
Dragon went down 2-1 but won four of the six singles, thanks to Sam Brackenbury, Jamie Robson, Tim Hester, and Callum Day. Singles winners for the Abbey were Scott Lawrence, who hit a 180, and Stan Browning. Tim Hester for the Dragon also hit a 180.
With a lot of teams fighting for second spot the team currently sat there – Tigers B – secured a 7-2 win against Ship Long Sutton to remain in the driving seat.
At 2-2, wins for Leo Clarkson, Tyger Atkin, Richard Brooks, Phil Horspool and Ian McCreery got the win for Tigers. Tyger Atkin hit a 180 and Zach Chapman hit a 107 checkout.
