Stole vodka to buy drugs, court hears

A Spalding woman stole vodka on two separate occasions from a supermarket to sell to buy drugs, a court has been told.
Mia Rock (29), of Linden Court, admitted stealing the vodka on April 16 and again on the 20 when she appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court.
It was said she made full admissions and said she had stolen the vodka to pay for her drug dependency but had since starting taking methadone to combat her addiction and was waiting to go into rehabilitation.
The magistrates heard that she had no convictions prior to 2017 but since then had had numerous shoplifting and burglary convictions.
After hearing a report from the Probation Service, the magistrates ordered her to undertake 30 rehabilitation days and a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement.
She was also ordered to pay compensation of £50 and court charges of £95.
