Step forward for area’s Parkrun

Those behind the South Holland’s only Parkrun are after runners and non-runners to take part.

Parkruns have proven phenomenally successful in recent years with events across the country meeting up at 9am every Saturday to take on the 5k runs.
Crowland Parkrun is based at Snowden Field.
As well as any new runners, they’d love to hear from volunteers to help it take place every week.
“It’s one of the smaller Parkruns but we have certainly started 2025 with a bang,” said a spokesman for the event. “We are always keen to welcome new runners, walkers, joggers, jeffers, pushchair-pushers and dog-walkers – if you are worried about being last, you won’t be because they always have a tail walker who is last to cross the line.
“If you don’t fancy taking part, they are also keen to welcome any volunteers – there’s loads of different roles to try and you don’t have to commit to helping each week.”
