Take a trip to Rauceby this weekend and travel back in time to the war era.

Rauceby 1940s weekend takes place over Saturday, Sunday and Monday, from 10am to 5pm, and offers fun for all the family 1940s style.

Attractions over the weekend include living history displays, re-enactors and a large selection of military vehicles and classic cars.

There will be an arena where a staged battle will be held each day, along with vehicle parades, a military band and various demonstrations.

The Battle of Britain Memorial will be doing various flypasts, there will be an old fashioned fun fair and children will be able to get involved in grenade throwing, rifle/boot camp drill and mine detecting.

There will be plenty of food available on site with a NAFFI selling homemade wartime-style cakes and sandwiches. The bar will be selling real ale, amongst other drinks.

The event is in aid of the Royal British Legion, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Admission is £6 per day with under 12s going free.
