Stallholders bid farewell to South Holland markets after 24 years

A couple are enjoying some well-deserved rest – and lie-ins – in retirement after 24 years working on South Holland markets.

Paul and Jackie Randall started with a stall on Long Sutton market and over the years their ranges of underwear, nightwear, socks, gloves and hats have also featured at Spalding, Holbeach and Crowland. The couple also had a stall at South Kesteven District Council markets at Bourne and Stamford.

Jackie said: “We’ve now come to retirement age and decided it was time to do just that so we’re going to sit back, have a rest and decide what we’re going to do in the future.
“We’ll miss the customers and all our work colleagues but we won’t miss the early mornings and bad weather!”

On their final day in Spalding just before Christmas, the Randalls were presented with gifts and flowers from fellow stallholders.
