Staff step up for hospital

Workers have stepped out from behind their desks to raise funds for the hospital she works at.
Holbeach Hospital receptionist Sheila Pocklington-Turner was joined by its finance officer Carole Marriott in a 15-mile walk to raise funds for the community institution.
On Sunday, May 12, they walked 15 mile from Moulton Marsh Nature Reserve to Guys Head Lighthouse near Sutton Bridge.
All of the money raised is being donated to the hospital. So far, £656 has been raised.
Sheila said: “It was a really good day.
“We enjoyed the walk knowing the money is going to a well deserving cause.”
Carole added: “The walk was very fun and we know the money is going to be put to good use at the Hospital.”
They faced scorching sun, a herd of cows and blisters, but made it to the end. We will still be accepting donations if anyone would like to donate on the hospital’s Facebook page.
Hospital manager, Julia Scott said: “Walking 15 miles in good time, on one of the hottest days of the year so far is hard work .
“We are very proud of them and are extremely grateful for all of the people who have so generously donated money.”
You can donate to the pair at the Holbeach Hospital Facebook page.
