Springfields has Easter all wrapped up

There really is no excuse to be bored during the Easter holidays when Springfields Outlet Shopping and Festival Gardens is right on your doorstep.

As well as the scores of shops offering a range of goodies to boost your spring wardrobe or give your home a makeover, there are a host of activities lined up just for Easter.

This bank holiday weekend there will be an Easter egg hunt for the little ones to take part in, as well as the chance to take a ride on the Springfields Land Train and visit the petting zoo.

The egg hunt costs just £3 and sends you on a trail around the gardens to find the clues and crack the code with the chance to receive a delicious chocolate gift and entry into a draw to win an XBox One from Game worth £400 or a huge Thorntons Easter egg worth £24.99.

Collect your entry forms from the information point or the special stand in Dutch Square between noon and 4pm every day.

The land train takes you on a journey around the gardens for £2.50 per person and the petting zoo has a collection of farmyard animals for you to get up close and personal with. It will be located outside the Play Barn from noon to 4pm every day from Good Friday through to Easter Monday.

For the adults there’s a craft fair being hosted all weekend at The Craft Outlet in the Museum of Great Regional Attractions, where you can buy everything from oil burners to cupcakes, soft furnishings, word art framed pictures, wooden jigsaws, books, fabric animal heads, decorated lampshades and mirrors, parchment paper craft and gift boxes and greeting cards.

For further details about the craft fair, call the Craft Outlet direct on 01775 722249.

All the family will enjoy the daily fountain displays at the entrance to the festival gardens, which see a spectacle of lights, music and water.

Not only that but more than 45 shops will be open on Easter Sunday and on Easter Monday Boston Classic Car Club will be displaying an interesting collection of vintage vehicles.

And if all that is not enough, Spalding Water Taxi has now launched for its 2014 season and you can take a ride from the jetty at Springfields into Spalding town centre to carry on your fun day out.
