A National Lottery Award secured sports equipment for Priory School pupils but an appeal has been launched to help make it useful in all weathers.
A year ago, The Priory was installed two large Multi Use Games Areas (MUGA) ends which include football goals, basketball hoops and cricket stumps.
They are however positioned on grass and during bad weather cannot be used.
To complete their project they now need to install court surfacing with sport markings for football and basketball, along with secure fencing to enclose the sports court, a spokesman said.
South Holland district councillors have donated £4,000 of its £31,000 goal.
The Priory School meets the needs of secondary school pupils who have moderate learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder or social communication difficulties.
