Spooky fun at Crowland dance

A ghost, a wizard and a couple of skeletons turned up at this week’s Crowland tea dance.

The dancers, who meet every Monday at the British Legion Hall from 2pm to 4.30pm, decided to have a bit of Halloween fun and turn up in costume.

The organ and stage were decorated to the theme by George and Pat Cragg, who run the dance.

About 40 dancers go along every week from Crowland, Holbeach, Spalding and Peterborough.

The dance has been running for five years.

Dancer Brian Slack, who helps with the weekly raffle, said: “It wasn’t a competition or anything, just a bit of fun.”

George and Pat recently held a dance at Holbeach and raised more than £1,000 for Cancer Research.
