Spooky ball to help hospital

A hugely popular charity ball in aid of Spalding’s Johnson Hospital is set to make a spooky return this October.

Tickets for the Johnson Community Hospital Ball are already close to selling out and the organisers behind the Springfield Events Centre bash are also on the look out for businesses and groups to get involved and donate prizes.

Sally Brown, chair of the organising committee and outpatients team leader at the hospital, said: “Following the most challenging year in the history of the NHS, the Johnson Community Hospital is (hopefully!) holding its rescheduled

Annual Charity Ball on Saturday, October 16, when staff, patients and the public hope to raise funds for the Johnson Community Hospital Services.

“And let’s face it – enjoying a well-deserved night out!

“Over the last 10 years, a fantastic £60,000 has been raised, and used to purchase specialist equipment to enhance the care and services available for the local patients of Spalding and the surrounding area.

“The theme for 2021 is ‘Hallowe’en Spooktacular’ and we have already been overwhelmed with interest for tickets due to the Balls increased popularity over the years, so this year looks like being a complete sell out again.”

Band Revolver will be entertaining guests at the event supported by Leo Promotions Disco.

Tickets costing £42.50 include a three course meal and are available from [email protected] or by ringing 01775 652033.

That’s also the number for any businesses or groups that want to get involved.

Sally said: “We would like to offer local businesses and companies an opportunity to donate prizes to the 2021 Charity Ball, this will mean that over 400 guests will have the opportunity to see that they are supporting their Community Hospital and services that run from it,.

“It will also provide the companies with an opportunity to raise their profile.”
